HMR Circle Digital Support Service

One of the big issues highlighted by the pandemic has been what is called the ‘Digital Divide’.

The Digital Divide is the gap between those who are and who aren’t on the internet.

As an illustration, over half of all Circle and Volunteer Drivers Service Members don’t have an email address or regular access to the internet.

Working with partners, HMR Circle has created the Digital Tech Library, where we can loan people tablet computers to help them get started on their internet journey.

On behalf of the group we were successful in winning some additional support from Great Places Housing so we can purchase even more tablets to support even more people.

We are looking for participants for the scheme - as well as volunteers to help give instruction to others.
