Looking After Me

Looking After Me - Carers taking care of themselves.

This programme builds on the principle that carers know best how their caring situation makes them feel on a day-to-daqy basis.  This includes how if affects their lifestyle, the choices they make and their ability to accomplish activities that are important to them whilst caring for others.

The programme does not focus on how to be a carer, but looks at ways to:-

* Positively manage feelings     * Build confidence     * Manage behaviours and understand triggers     * Start to, and maintain regular 'me' time     * Take care of own health needs     * Meet other carers     * Make plans for the future     * Find services that can offer help and support.
