Subject Definitions

Autism is a lifelong developmental disorder that affects the way a person communicates and relates to people around them. In the great majority of cases, autistic disorders are present from birth or become apparent within the first three years of life. Pe
The various forms of autism are thought to overlap considerably, but the fact that there is wide variation in symptoms among children with autism led to the concept of autism (or autistic) spectrum disorder. Autism seems to be on the rise, and, according to the National Autistic Society, there are over half a million people in the UK with an autism spectrum disorder. It’s unclear, though, whether the growing incidence of autism represents a real increase or just improved detection. Early diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder is important. That’s because detection leads to treatment, and with early treatment, a child with autism can gain improved language and social skills.

They work by providing an opportunity for you to talk in a way that assists you to understand yourself better. Having gained this understanding you can work out ways of living your life in a more positive and constructive way. These drugs change your mood by affecting the balance of chemicals in your body but do not help you to deal with underlying problems. Counselling is a form of psychological or talking therapy that offers people a chance to change how they feel and to live better.
